Your favourite European cities for a long weekend?
WHO has an amazingly diverse group of characters with great experiences. So, If you were taking a long weekend in a European city where would you go and why?

Unfortunately I have many I could chose but I'll start off with Lisbon. The weather is extremely good. It has an interesting old city with fun places to eat and drink. It has culture and it is also on a big river not far from the sea. I've been a couple of times in the last two years and although I like Barcelona Lisbon is a bit smaller and less flooded with tourists.

Porto, for the same reasons. Trip on the Duoro, visits to Sherry hoses, excellent sea food restaurants, interesting tram system, easy metro access to and from airport, plenty of traditional Portuguese architecture ( and tiles ). All good.

Don't forget to bring back a big bag of chocolates if you go to Porto.

San Sebastián if you like your grub, best tapas for me, though not been to Seville yet. Got a beach too, though the weather can be a bit iffy. Spanish, but with a French feel, as it's not far from the border.

Having been to 700, TAORMINA/Sicily actually wins. Difficult to pinpoint why.

If you haven't been then Rome hands down. Other than that Reykyavik, but it really depends on what stuff you like and what you want to do. Drinking, Munich or Reykyavik, culture/sightseeing Rome or Florence, relaxed, chilled place probably Seville, stunning scenery get down to Sorrento and the Amalfi coast, just fly into Naples.
